Lady Tiger Halloran breaks record

Tunkhannock swimmer Stephani Halloran broke the record in the 200 individual medley on Monday as both the boys' and girls' teams succumbed to a powerful Abington Heights team.

The boys lost 103-83 to the Comets while the girls were handed a 128-58 loss.

Halloran took first place in the 200 IM at 2:24.92, beating the school's previous record of 2:26.32.

Other first place finishes on the girls' side came from Stephanie Dymond in the 50 free at :26.10 and Halloran in the 100 breast at 1:19.16.

Second place finishes came from the 200 medley relay team of Dymond, Halloran, Kandis Venn and Eileen Hoskins, the 400 free relay team of Hoskins, Dymond, Venn and Halloran, Dymond (100 back) and Hoskins (500 free).

Third place finishes were recorded by the 200 free relay team of Morgan Palmer, Katie Rincavage, Liz Iwach and Kelcie Shaw and Palmer (100 breast).

On the boys' side, firsts came from Ben Spencer in the 200 IM at 2:18.56 and 100 breast at 1:10.03 and Matt Kupchunas in the 100 fly at :57.06.

Seconds came from the 200 medley relay team of Spencer, Kupchunas, Gerald Kanyok and David Novak, t Jacob Siegel (100 fly and 200 IM), Bunney (50 free), Novak (500 free), Kupchunas (100 back), he 200 free relay team of Kupchunas, Novak, Spencer and Siegel and the 400 freestyle relay team of Ryan Fowler, Quin McCloskey, Bunney and Siegel.

Third place finishes came from the 200 medley relay team of Michael Hoskins, Adam Sehne, Fowler and Bunney, Novak (200 free), Fowler (50 free) and McCloskey (100 free).

Crestwood

Tunkhannock's boys' and girls' swimming and diving teams picked up a pair of home victories against Crestwood in a meet on Friday evening as Tiger boys defeated the Comets 135-24 and the girls took a 110-73 victory.

David Novak led the boys with two individual wins in the 200 IM and 100 backstroke and was a part of a winning relay team, while the girls were paced by Stephanie Dymond who won the 50 free and was on two winning relay teams.

On the boys' side, first place finishes came from the 200 yard medley relay team of Ben Spencer, Quin McCloskey, Jacob Siegel and Dererk Bunny in 1:56.34, the 200 yard free relay team of David Novak, Siegel, Bunney and Adam Sehne in 1:42.10, the 400 yard free relay team of Sehne, Justin Hill, Matt Krispin and Bunney in 4:19.28, Matt Kupchunas in the 200 free at 2:01.06, Novak in the 200 IM at 2:17.54 and 100 back at 1:05.35, Dan Shaw in diving at 127.90, Sigel in the 100 fly at 1:00.84, James Proulx in the 500 free at 6:16.15 and Sehne in the 100 breast at 1:18.59.

Second place finishes were recorded by Spencer (200 free), Sehne (200 IM), Dan Ayers (diving), Spencer (100 fly), Bunney (100 free), Jim Jefferies (500 free) and Kupchunas (100 breast).

The 200 medley relay team of Kupchunas, Shaw, Ryan Fowler and Novak, the 200 free relay team of Kupchunas, Fowler, Ben Spencer and McCloskey and the 400 free relay team of Proulx, Tim Breen, Jefferies and Siegel also took second place finishes.

Third place finishes came from McCloskey (100 and 200 free), Hill (200 IM), Hoskins (50 free), Fowler (100 fly and 100 back), Breen (500 free) and Shaw (100 breast).

The 200 free relay team of Shaw, Ayers, Krispin and Michael Hoskins and the 200 medley relay team of Hoskins, Proulx, Hill and Jeffereies also had thirds.

On the girls' side, first place finishes came from the 200 medley relay team of Eileen Hoskins, Stephani Halloran and Stephanie Dymond in 2:07.32, the 500 yard free relay team of Halloran, Hoskins and Dymond in 4:17.88, Dymond in the 50 free at 26.42, Aislinn Evans in diving at 145.90, Halloran in the 100 fly at 1:10.21, Hoskins in the 500 free at 6:08.10 and Katie Rincavage in the 100 breast at 1:27.64.

Second place finishes came from Hoskins (200 free), Halloran (200 IM), Katie Kolodzieski (diving), Kandis Venn (100 fly), Dymond (100 free), Alex Gerek (100 back) and Morgan Palmer (100 breast).

The 200 free relay team of Gerek, Jessica Brennan, Palmer and Brooke Shefler also had second.

Thirds came from Venn (200 free), Palmer (200 IM), Shayna Hunsinger (50 free), Rincavage (diving) and Shefler (100 free).

The 200 medley relay team of Gerek, Rincavage, Shefler and Palmer, the 200 free relay team of Jacklyn Keithline, Alexis O'Hara, Rinvcavage and Kelcie Shaw and the 400 free relay team of Keithline, O'Hara, Shaw and Hunsinger had third.
